National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has commended the people of Tain in the Bono region for their consistent support of the NDC over the years.
While on a campaign tour in the Bono region and visiting his local constituency, Mr Asiedu Nketia expressed his gratitude to the people for their trust in his leadership and their contributions to his political journey.
“I am at my current position because of your support and prayers, and I will do everything possible to keep the name of Tain in the good books of Ghana,” he said.
He considered his political beginnings and said that he was able to represent Tain people in Parliament because they trusted his vision.
“This representation is what has brought me this far,” he added.
During his visit, the National Speaker inaugurated several development projects, including the newly constructed mechanized boreholes in Alko Krom and Kwadwo Krom and the Community Health Planning and Services Complex (CHPS) in Seikwa Tyinso.
These projects, he explained, fulfilled the promises of the Member of Parliament for the area, Sulemana Ramsey.
He also visited various communities, including Nfoho, Kogwa, Kyekyewere, Seikwa, Nasana, Brody, Di Babi, Nsoko and Tano Krom, where he spoke to residents and reiterated his commitment to development.
Asiedu Nketia called on residents to vote in droves for Sulemana Ramsey and John Dramani Mahama in the next elections and support the NDC. He stressed that their votes would enable the NDC to implement effective policies and sustain development in the constituency.
Thane Member of Parliament Sulemana Ramsey also addressed the residents, promising to complete ongoing projects and initiate new ones. He stressed that voting for both him and John Dramani Mahama was crucial to the progress of the constituency.
“Having an MP without a president from the same party is frustrating, as it makes securing projects for the constituency difficult,” Ramzy explained.
