Ghanaian gospel musician, MOG, has urged his fellow gospel artistes to prioritize building meaningful relationships over monetary gains.
In an appearance on Channel One TV’s Upside Down Show, MOG emphasized the significance of relationships in the ministry of gospel music.
“Money is good, but I believe what gives good money is the relationship,” MOG stated.
“If you can manage the relationship well, you can harness a lot more than how much you can even charge.” he added
MOG highlighted the benefits of nurturing relationships, which can lead to unexpected blessings and opportunities. He noted that a strong connection with people makes it easier to collaborate and give freely without reservations.
MOG also addressed the issue of gospel musicians demanding payment upfront before performing. While he understood the reasoning behind this approach, MOG emphasized the importance of relationships in his decision to perform at events.
“For me, it’s about building a strong relationship with people,” MOG explained. “When I see it, it will affirm if I am going to come the next time you invite me or not.”
MOG’s comments offer valuable insights into the importance of relationships in the gospel music industry. By prioritizing meaningful connections, musicians can build a strong foundation for their ministry and create a lasting impact on their audience.
