The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unveiled its leadership team for the upcoming Parliament, with some notable appointments.
Alexander Afenyo-Markin, previously the Majority Leader, will now take on the role of Minority Leader.
Patricia Appiagyei, the Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency, has been appointed Deputy Minority Leader, while Frank Annoh-Dompreh will retain his position as Minority Chief Whip.
Other key appointments include Habib Iddrisu as 1st Deputy Minority Whip and Davis Opoku Ansah (OPK) as 2nd Deputy Whip.
Notably, Davis Ansah Opoku is the only new face in the NPP caucus leadership, replacing the outgoing 2nd Deputy Whip, Alex Tetteh, who lost his seat.
The National Council of the party is expected to issue an official communication to confirm these appointments.
With the 8th Parliament set to be dissolved on January 3, these leadership changes will likely play a significant role in shaping the NPP’s strategy in the upcoming 9th Parliament.
