President-elect John Mahama has appointed a six-member team to oversee Ghana’s national security on an interim basis.
The team, led by former Interior Minister Prosper Douglas Bani, will ensure a seamless transition of power and maintain stability in the country.
The team members include Prosper Douglas Bani, former Minister for the Interior and team lead; Lt. General Peter Augustine Blay (Rtd.), former Chief of Defence Staff; Kofi Totobi Quakyi, former Minister for National Security; Larry Gbevlo-Lartey Esq., former National Security Coordinator; Brigadier General Fuseini Iddrissu (Rtd.); and COP Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd.).
The team is set to begin its mandate on January 7, 2025.
