George Opare Addo, the Minister-Designate for Youth Development and Empowerment, has expressed his gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for his nomination.
In a statement, Opare Addo pledged to lead with humility and a steadfast vision for a brighter future.
“This is not just a personal milestone but a collective opportunity to rewrite the story of our nation’s youth. This story belongs to you, the young people of our nation, and we will write it together. Today is Day 1, and we don’t have the luxury of time,” he said.
Opare Addo emphasized his commitment to leading with humility, ambition, resilience, and a clear vision.
“I pledge to lead with humility, unrepentant ambition, unwavering resilience, and an undying vision for a brighter future.”
He outlined his vision for the ministry, focusing on implementing an ambitious and transformative policy framework for youth development.
“My vision is clear: to deploy and implement the most aggressive and transformative policy framework for youth development in the history of our beloved country. Together, we will create decent jobs, empower millions, and lift young people out of poverty.”
Opare Addo assured that his doors are open to everyone, regardless of their political affiliations. “No matter your political persuasion, creed, or background, my doors are opened. No time for long bureaucracy.”
He concluded by encouraging young people to start their businesses, initiatives, and dreams, promising to support them in making their visions a Ghanaian success story.
