The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee is closing in on the completion of its report, which will be presented to President John Dramani Mahama.
According to Chairman Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the committee has reviewed over 700 petitions from the public. “We’re still compiling all the cases, but we’ll be presenting our report to the president soon,” he told Citi News.
Ablakwa emphasized that the committee’s work is crucial in ensuring accountability and keeping government officials in check.
He also highlighted the committee’s commitment to the cause, saying, “We’re all passionate about this…we have the opportunity to show the same passion that we exhibited in opposition, now that we are in government.”
The validation process is set to begin soon, ensuring the accuracy of the information gathered.
Ablakwa noted that the committee aims to wrap up its work within the next couple of weeks, visiting all regions where reports have been received.
