Parliament has confirmed Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak as the new Minister for the Interior, following a thorough vetting process.
The approval marks a significant milestone in Muntaka’s political career, recognizing his experience and dedication to public service.
As the Member of Parliament for Asawase since 2005, Muntaka has demonstrated his commitment to national development. His tenure as the former Minister for Youth and Sports, as well as his role as the Minority Chief Whip in parliament, have prepared him to lead the Interior Ministry.
In addition to Muntaka’s appointment, parliament also approved four regional ministers-designate:
– Ali Adolf John as Northern Regional Minister
– John Kwadwo Gyapong as Oti Regional Minister
– James Gunu as Volta Regional Minister
– Mrs. Rita Akosua Awatey as Eastern Regional Minister
