President John Dramani Mahama has approved the appointment of Alex Segbefia as Chief of Staff to Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
The appointment, announced on January 28, 2025, is aimed at strengthening governance and policy coordination within the Vice President’s office, aligning with the government’s Resetting Ghana agenda.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, confirmed the appointments in an official statement, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to building a better Ghana through capable leadership.
Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has also been appointed Policy Advisor to the Vice President. Both appointments reflect the administration’s focus on leveraging experienced professionals to drive efficient governance and implement key policies.
