President John Dramani Mahama has relieved Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh of his duties as Director-General of the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
An official letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, directed Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh to hand over his responsibilities to Dr. James Klutse Avedzi, who has been appointed as Acting Director-General of the SEC.
The reason for Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh’s termination was not specified in the letter.
However, the SEC is expected to maintain stability in Ghana’s capital markets during the leadership transition under Dr. Avedzi’s stewardship.
