Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has criticized the appointments made by President John Dramani Mahama, accusing them of lacking fairness and regional balance.
Speaking in an interview with Bernard Avle on The Point of View on Channel One TV, on Wednesday, January 29, Afenyo-Markin expressed concern about the neglect of certain regions in the distribution of appointments.
“They are still doing appointments, they are not done. So far they have not done any fair balance. Look at my paternal home region, what have they done for the people of the Volta region?
“The appointments from the Volta region. Even Greater Accra. The Greater Accra region and Volta region deserve better.”
He further emphasized the need for equitable representation, adding, “Greater Accra must be given its fair share. There must be a fair balance.”
Afenyo-Markin also recalled accusations levelled against the previous government, saying, “We’re watching. They accused us of family and friends.”
