Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister-Designate for Government Communications, has pledged to maintain the highest standards of integrity and transparency in his role.
During his vetting on January 31, he emphasized his commitment to honesty, truth, and accountability as guiding principles in his approach to government communication.
Kwakye Ofosu described himself as a person of deep conviction, who carefully considers his positions and adheres to them unless presented with verifiable evidence to the contrary.
He acknowledged that this approach may not always resonate positively with everyone, but stressed that his primary concern is doing what is right and serving the interests of the people.
“I am a person of conviction and when I take positions, I consider them carefully and once I take them, unless I am shown verifiable evidence that I am wrong, I stick to them,” Kwakye Ofosu said.
“And often, it may rub off some people negatively or wrongly, but to the extent that I know it is the right thing to do, I stick to it” he added.
He also vowed to reject the dissemination of misinformation and disinformation.
“And so I am not going to be an outlet for churning out misinformation or disinformation to deceive the people,” he emphasized.
Kwakye Ofosu commended President John Dramani Mahama’s administration for its commitment to honesty and transparency.
He praised the President’s leadership as exemplary, noting that it would go down in history as one of the most honest administrations Ghana has ever seen.
