
Elsie Addo Awadzi, the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, will retire from the Central Bank, effective February 28, 2025.
The Presidency confirmed the announcement in a statement issued on Friday, February 7, 2025.
President John Dramani Mahama has accepted Awadzi’s decision to take early retirement, expressing gratitude for her distinguished service to the Bank of Ghana and the Republic.
He commended her contributions to the nation’s financial sector and wished her success in her future endeavors.
“The President thanks Mrs. Elsie Addo Awadzi for her distinguished service to the Bank and the Republic and wishes her well in her future endeavors,” the statement read.
