The Civil Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSA) has directed its members to prepare for a nationwide strike on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
The industrial action is in protest against the continued tenure of Samuel Adom Botchway at the Births and Deaths Registry, despite government assurances of his removal.
CLOGSA cited Botchway’s participation in the office’s budget hearing at the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs on Monday, February 17, 2025, as evidence of his ongoing presence.
In a statement signed by Executive Secretary Isaac Bampoe Addo, CLOGSA reaffirmed that the strike will proceed as scheduled unless their concerns are addressed.
