
Renowned musician and entrepreneur, Rex Omar, has been appointed by President John Mahama as the Presidential Staffer for Blackstar Experience. This role recognizes his significant contributions to Ghana’s music industry and cultural heritage.
The Blackstar Experience is a flagship program aimed at promoting Ghana’s culture, arts, and tourism, making it a preferred destination for tourists.
The initiative will celebrate various aspects of Ghanaian culture throughout the year, including the Pan African Month, Ghana Film Festival and Awards Month, Ghana Music World, Culinary Month, Architecture, Design, Arts and Crafts, Fashion and Textiles Month, and Literacy/Literary Month.
As Presidential Staffer for Blackstar Experience, Rex Omar will partner with the private sector to develop an ultra-modern recreation village, featuring auditoriums for films, concerts, and special events.
Rex Omar brings a wealth of experience to this role, having served as Chairman of GHAMRO, Vice President of the Copyright Society of Ghana, and advisor to President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress on the creative sector.
