
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced a significant reshuffling of Regional Health Directors, effective April 14, 2025.
This strategic move aims to bolster the healthcare system and ensure the attainment of GHS objectives nationwide.
Several key directors have been reassigned to new roles:
– Dr. Samuel Kwabena Boakye-Boateng: Now Director of Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division (PPMED) at GHS headquarters.
– Dr. Kennedy T.C. Brightson: Takes on the role of Acting Director of Family Health at GHS headquarters.
– Dr. Abdulai Abukari: Now Director of Special Duties at GHS headquarters.
– Dr. Alberta Adjebeng Biritwum-Nyarko: Moves to Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) for the Central Region.
– Dr. Marion Okoh-Owusu: Now RDHS for the Bono East Region.
Other notable reassignments include:
– Dr. Braimah Baba Abubakari: RDHS for the Upper East Region
