Ghana’s Deputy Finance Minister, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, has announced that the government will abolish the Electronic Levy (E-Levy) by March 31, 2025.
The removal of the levy is pending parliamentary approval of the 2025 budget and appropriation, Nyarko revealed on Channel One TV’s OXFAM Tax Dialogue.
Nyarko emphasized the need for a comprehensive review of Ghana’s investment climate, citing the country’s stable democracy as a major draw for foreign investors.
However, he noted that other factors are hindering investment growth, and urged stakeholders to engage in discussions on how to remove barriers to investment and promote economic growth.
