President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Freetown, Sierra Leone today for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
During his visit, President Mahama is expected to hold bilateral talks with his Sierra Leonean counterpart, President Julius Maada Bio. The discussions will focus on areas of mutual interest, including trade, economic and social infrastructure, as well as regional cooperation.
The visit is seen as an opportunity to deepen the ties between Ghana and Sierra Leone, which have historically enjoyed strong bilateral relations. The two nations have consistently demonstrated mutual support during times of crisis and have collaborated on various development projects.
Regional cooperation is also expected to feature prominently in the discussions between the two leaders. As members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Ghana and Sierra Leone can work together to promote peace, stability, and security in the sub-region.
The visit is expected to yield significant benefits for both countries, including increased trade and investment, as well as enhanced cooperation on regional and global issues.
