
Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has denied allegations of approving a $1.7 million single-source procurement contract, describing the claims as “baseless and misleading.”
In a statement posted on Facebook, Dr. Forson said: “My attention has been drawn to yet another baseless and misleading claim circulating about an alleged $1.7 million single-source procurement contract approved by me.”
“This claim is completely false and should be disregarded,” he stated. “Let me state clearly and categorically: I have not approved any procurements since I took office as Minister.”
Dr. Forson reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible economic management.
“My focus remains on ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible economic management in the best interest of Ghana,” he said.
