President John Dramani Mahama has called for a swift and thorough investigation into the murder of Ahmed Suale, a member of Tiger Eye PI. Mahama’s remarks came during a courtesy call by the leader of the Ghana Bar Association, Efua Ghartey, on March 26, 2025.
The President’s comments were prompted by the recent arrest of Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a former associate of Suale, who has been charged with murder.
Mahama emphasized the need for a meticulous interrogation of the suspect, stating, “Investigations into significant killings and murders that have remained uninvestigated. I have urged the police and the investigation organisations to look more actively into such cases, like that of Ahmed Suale.”
Mahama expressed his hope that the interrogation would lead to further arrests and ultimately bring closure to the case.
“That is why a first suspect has been arrested, and we are hoping that his interrogation will lead to further arrests of people,” he said.
The President also used the opportunity to urge authorities to expedite the prosecution of those responsible for the murder of JB Danquah.
“There are several other cases like the JB Danquah case. We are asking that they be expedited in terms of prosecution and investigations,” he stated.
Mahama’s comments underscore his commitment to upholding human rights and ensuring justice for victims of crime.
