In a recent development, the Accra High Court has revised the bail conditions for Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), and his wife, Angela Adjei Boateng.
Adu-Boahene’s bail has been reduced from GHS120 million to GHS60 million, while his wife’s bail remains at GHS60 million. The court has also eased the surety requirements, now mandating only one justified surety for each defendant.
The couple must still report to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) twice a week and obtain permission before traveling.
Their legal team, led by Samuel Atta Akyea, expressed relief over the revised bail terms, citing their client’s cooperation with the investigation.
The EOCO investigation alleges that Adu-Boahene diverted state funds into personal accounts during his tenure as NSB Director-General from 2017 to February 2025.
