
LA Galaxy player Joseph Painstil is set to make a return after weeks of nursing an injury. The winger suffered a quad injury which kept him off the pitch for 6 weeks including missing out on featuring in the World Cup qualifiers for the Black Stars.
The former Genk player have missed all 5 games in the MLS this season. His absence from the team has seen the MLS defending champions drop 13 points after losing 3 and drawing 2 of their first 5 games in the MLS.
Speaking exclusively to 3Sports, Painstil despite missing 5 games is delighted to be back on the pitch against Orlando City this weekend. “I’m excited to be back on the grass again and hoping to help the team bounce back”.
The 2024/2025 season started on 24th February where La Galaxy lost suffered a 2-0 defeat against debutants San Diego. Painstil bemoans absence from the pitch but is upbeat about the support he received. “It was a difficult moment for me, especially not being able to start the season but thanks to God and the support of my coach, my teammates, the fans, my family & friends I am back now”.
In his debut season for LA Galaxy, Joseph made 34 MLS appearances scored 14 goals and 8 assists.
