The National Chief Imam, Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has called on Muslims to prioritize virtuous acts and eschew lawlessness during the 2025 Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.
Speaking at the celebration, Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, spokesperson for the National Chief Imam, emphasized the importance of living responsibly, especially during celebrations.
“Lawlessness is something that must be eschewed as we celebrate on a day like this, so all will see the beauty, and together in unison we shall say, Glory and Mercy be to Allah,” Sheikh Shaibu said.
He further encouraged Muslims to come together in unity, giving praise and thanks to Allah. “And we, in unison, will sing his grace and his praises as we give him the praise. Alhamdulillah, all thanks and praises are due to Allah. We magnify him by saying Allahu Akbar; he is most great. There is no one worthy of worship except Allah alone.”
