President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghana’s youth to harness the power of digital transformation, discipline, and education to drive the country’s future prosperity.
Speaking at the 2025 National Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, President Mahama emphasized the crucial role young people play in shaping Ghana’s destiny.
He encouraged them to acquire skills in emerging technologies to remain competitive in the global economy.
President Mahama noted, “To our young people, I say Ghana’s future is in your hands. In this era of digital transformation of economic challenges and global competition, our youth must equip themselves with the skills, knowledge, and discipline necessary to be able to thrive.”
He stressed the importance of balancing faith with education, saying, “Allow your faith to guide you but also allow your education and hard work serve as the tools that empower you to build a brighter future, and so it is important to be a faithful Muslim but it is also important to be an educated Muslim.”
President Mahama assured the youth that leaders will provide the necessary support, saying, “As leaders, we will do our part to create the enabling environment that gives young people the opportunities that they deserve, and it is my wish that our youth in the Muslim communities will take advantage of these opportunities.”
