The management of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has declared two dismissed students, Ransford Fosu-Boateng (popularly known as “Scammer Baby”) and Raphael Appiah Owusu, persona non grata.
According to a statement issued by the Deputy Registrar of the University’s Relations Office, Dr. Daniel Norris Bekoe, despite their dismissal, the individuals had continued to unlawfully enter campus premises, engaging in disruptive behavior, harassment, and indiscipline that threatened the safety and security of the University community.
Fosu-Boateng was dismissed on March 21, 2022, while Owusu’s dismissal took effect at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year. Their presence on campus had been linked to various incidents, including a recent unlawful assembly that resulted in vandalism and damage to University property, as identified through CCTV surveillance.
Dr. Bekoe emphasized that the duo’s persistent presence on campus constituted a serious violation of University regulations, stating, “They have been declared persona non grata and are to be treated as trespassers should they be found within any part of the University community.”
He cautioned current students against associating with the dismissed individuals, warning that any student found aiding or facilitating their access to campus would face strict disciplinary sanctions.
The University reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a safe, secure, and academically focused environment for all legitimate members.
