
The Manhyia Palace has announced that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, will spearhead mediation efforts to resolve the ongoing Bawku crisis.
Scheduled to take place from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, the mediation sessions aim to bring together stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the conflict.
In a press release issued on April 15, 2025, the Asantehene called on all parties involved to cooperate fully in the mediation process. “His Majesty’s leadership in conflict resolution has been widely recognized, and this initiative is seen as a critical step toward restoring harmony in the region,” the release stated.
