Asante Kotoko SC has appointed Abdul Karim Zito as its new interim head coach and technical director, effective immediately. This move comes after the club parted ways with former coach Prosper Ogum due to a decline in team performance.
Zito, a seasoned coach with a proven track record, is expected to stabilize and strengthen the team’s technical setup. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to turn around the team’s fortunes.
In a bid to support Zito, the club has also appointed Prince Yaw Owusu as Assistant Coach. Owusu’s vast experience in coaching across Ghana, Sudan, and the United States is expected to be invaluable to the team.
Malik Jabir, the club’s former technical director, will now serve as technical advisor, providing guidance to ensure the club’s long-term stability and growth.
The changes at Asante Kotoko are aimed at improving team performance and overall club success. With Zito at the helm, the team is expected to benefit from his expertise and experience.
