
In a bid to inject fresh energy into the fight against illegal mining, Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno has reshuffled 34 police commanders in galamsey-prone areas.
The transfers, which affect various commands across the country, are part of a broader effort to strengthen the police force’s response to the menace.
The full list of transfers includes ACP Jonathan A. Lamptey moving from Gambaga Divisional Command to Takoradi Divisional Command, ACP Thomas Osei Ababio moving from Asankragwa Divisional Command to Yendi Divisional Command, and many others.
