A suspect, Waliu Fazazi, has been remanded into police custody by the Nalerigu District Court over his alleged involvement in a brazen mobile money robbery at Bunkpurugu.
The robbery occurred on April 23, 2025, when Fazazi and his accomplices, who are still on the run, allegedly posed as customers before armed men appeared and snatched GHC300,000 from a mobile money vendor.
Fazazi, who appeared before the court on April 25, 2025, has been remanded to reappear on May 9, 2025. The police are urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the other suspects to come forward.
The authorities have assured the public of their commitment to apprehending all those involved and ensuring justice is served.
