Dennis Miracles Aboagye, former Communications Director for the Bawumia Campaign Team, has reaffirmed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) willingness to welcome back individuals who share its values and vision.
This comes after Kennedy Agyapong, former Assin Central MP, urged the party to reintegrate defected and suspended figures, including Paul Afoko and Alan Kyerematen, to boost unity ahead of the 2028 elections.
In an interview on Channel One Newsroom, Aboagye emphasized the NPP’s consistent open-door policy for those who align with its core principles.
“The party has already indicated its open-door readiness to receive everybody and get everybody on board,” he stated.
Aboagye clarified the status of individuals mentioned by Kennedy Agyapong, noting that not all are under suspension.
“Mr. Paul Afoko has not been suspended from the party. He is still a member of the NPP… Alan Kyerematen has not been suspended from the party, he has left the party to form another political party.”
Aboagye reiterated the party’s stance, “The position of the party across the country is that everybody who is willing and ready and believes in the ideologies of the NPP, the party is ready to accept them.”
