The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 elections, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has promised to prioritize individuals who have recently lost their jobs for employment under the next NPP government.
Speaking during the NPP’s “Thank You Tour” in Takoradi, Dr. Bawumia expressed sympathy for those struggling after losing their jobs. “I know how painful it is to lose your daily source of income,” he said, acknowledging the sacrifices many people have made.
Dr. Bawumia stated that a future NPP government would introduce strong plans to create jobs, especially for those most affected by the current tough economy. “I assure you that under the next NPP government, you will be prioritized for jobs,” he said, receiving loud cheers from the crowd.
The NPP’s “Thank You Tour” aims to reconnect with supporters and renew promises ahead of the December 2025 elections.
Dr. Bawumia reiterated the party’s commitment to fixing the economy, helping businesses grow, and creating sustainable jobs for the youth and unemployed citizens.
