The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has abruptly terminated the contracts of Regional and Zonal Coordinators managing the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP). The decision, announced on March 4, 2025, takes immediate effect.
According to a statement from the Gender Minister, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, the coordinators have been relieved of their duties, but no reasons were given for the sudden termination.
The affected staff are required to report to the GSFP Secretariat to collect their termination letters and wrap up their duties.
The GSFP, a flagship initiative aimed at boosting school enrollment and attendance, has been plagued by funding issues, corruption allegations, and unpaid debts to caterers.
