The Kwahu Business Forum, a key platform for fostering economic growth and supporting Ghanaian entrepreneurs, was conceptualized by Julius Debrah, a close associate of President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking at the 2025 edition of the forum, President Mahama shared the story behind the initiative’s creation. According to him, Mr. Debrah formulated the idea while planning the trip to attend celebrations in Kwahu.
“He [Julius Debrah] formulated the idea that as part of attending the celebrations, we should organise a forum,” President Mahama explained.
“This would serve as a platform for me to explain my economic policies and how they would assist business people in transforming and growing their businesses”he added.
The idea was well-received by the business community, leading to the birth of the Kwahu Business Forum. Since its inception, the forum has provided a platform for stakeholders to engage, discuss policy interventions, and explore strategies to enhance Ghana’s business landscape.
