A major operation by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of suspected cocaine at the Swiss Port.
On Wednesday, April 23, NACOC officials intercepted a cargo shipment containing seventy-three slabs of the substance, weighing approximately 89.74 kilograms.
According to authorities, the suspected cocaine was being concealed and prepared for export to the Netherlands. The successful operation was intelligence-led, aimed at disrupting international drug trafficking networks utilizing Ghana’s ports.
Four individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the seizure. Although their identities remain undisclosed, they are assisting NACOC investigators.
The agency is working to unravel the extent of the trafficking operation and potential local and international networks involved.
