The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has distanced himself from a letter circulating among party members, requesting the submission of nominees from constituencies for appointments.
In a statement released on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, Ashie Moore categorically denied any knowledge of such a directive from the national leadership of the party, attributing the letter to a unilateral decision by the Regional Secretary, made without recourse to the party’s established structures.
“I have been notified of a letter in circulation indicating submission of party nominees from constituencies for appointments. Let me state explicitly that I am not aware of such notification from the apex level of the party. Neither has the regional executives committee been consulted nor have approved such directive,” Ashie Moore stated.
He urged party members to disregard the letter entirely, emphasizing that the transition team of the President-Elect is focused on ensuring a smooth handover and implementing the top 10 policies within the first 120 days in office.
“The transition team of the President-Elect is assiduously working for a successful handing over and focused on delivering the top 10 policies to be implemented within his first 120 days in office,” Ashie Moore said.
The development has raised questions about internal communication and decision-making processes within the party, with some members expressing concern about the potential for confusion and misdirection
