President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Justina Nelson as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF), effective immediately.
Nelson, a Group Head at Zenith Bank, brings extensive experience in the mining and finance sectors to her new role.
Her appointment comes less than 24 hours after President Mahama revoked the appointment of Edward Nana Yaw Koranteng as CEO of MIIF.
Koranteng’s appointment was revoked in a letter dated January 13, 2025, and he has been directed to hand over his duties to Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the government’s representative at the Ministry of Finance.
