Parliament has approved three more ministerial nominees presented by President John Dramani Mahama. The decision follows extensive debates in the House.

– George Opare-Addo: Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment
– Emelia Arthur: Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture
Abla Dzifa Gomashie, a prominent advocate for arts and culture, is expected to enhance tourism by promoting Ghana’s rich cultural heritage and increasing revenue.
George Opare-Addo’s role at the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment aims to tackle challenges facing young people, including employment, education, and empowerment programs.
Emelia Arthur will focus on improving sustainability and productivity in the fisheries and aquaculture sector, leveraging her experience in rural development and fisheries.
The Parliamentary Appointments Committee vetted the nominees on Wednesday, assessing their qualifications and plans for their respective portfolios.
