In a surprising turn of events, Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate Linda Akweley Ocloo set a new record by completing her vetting before the Parliamentary Appointments Committee in under 10 minutes.
Remarkably, Ocloo didn’t face a single question from the committee members. Instead, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin commended her strong delegation, citing it as proof of her competence.
Chairman Bernard Ahiafor promptly discharged her after acknowledging her guests.
If confirmed, Ocloo plans to focus on urban development, youth empowerment, and enhancing public services in the Greater Accra Region.
The brevity of Ocloo’s vetting session stood in stark contrast to that of Defence Minister-nominee Dr. Omane Boamah, who endured a grueling four-hour questioning.
