Ing. Julius Kpekpena has been appointed as the acting Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), replacing Ing. David Asamoah.
Prior to his new role, Ing. Kpekpena served as the Director of Engineering at ECG before joining the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA).
As the new acting MD, Ing. Kpekpena faces the challenge of revitalizing the company, which is struggling with operational difficulties and maintaining a stable power supply amid ongoing privatization discussions.
Ing. Asamoah, his predecessor, was the Deputy Managing Director in charge of Commercial Services at ECG before taking the helm.
